As Arbitrator

In 2022, Patrick acted as sole arbi­tra­tor in an ad hoc arbit­ra­tion involving Malaysian parties in dis­pute over their oblig­a­tions to main­tain indus­trial machinery fin­anced through sharia-com­pli­ant ijarah agree­ments (Islamic financing).

He has also served as arbi­tra­tor at the International Islamic Banking and Finance Arbitration Competition (IBFAC) and is lis­ted on the SCCA Arbitrator Roster at the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration.

Qualifications

Patrick is a Certified Islamic Arbitrator, cer­ti­fied in 2026 by the International Islamic Centre for Reconciliation and Arbitration (IICRA) in Dubai upon com­ple­tion of the Centre’s Certified Islamic Arbitrator and Expert (CIAE) pro­gramme and examination.
